PIONEER TALES

This newsletter, curated by Nick Cataldo, has been a benefit of membership of the San Bernardino Historical and Pioneer Society since 2017.  The rich heritage of the city of San Bernardino and the Historical Society has been the focus of publications which were previously enjoyed by our members… Heritage Tales (1978-2003), Odyssey (1979-2007) and Library News (2007-2013).

Pioneer Tales strives to inform our members as to ongoing projects and events that the Historical Society and Depot Museum are involved in as well as continuing to provide a literary look back into San Bernardino’s fascinating past, and the people who recorded this rich history.
Each issue includes articles pertaining to the history of the San Bernardino Valley, some of which are taken from issues of our prior publications—Odyssey and Heritage Tales, as well as other available resources, plus updates as more information about these fascinating subjects becomes available.

Alternatively, you can access the CSUSB ScholarWorks website.

When you get to the Search tab, enter Pioneer Tales.
